Welcome from all at Dudley Carers Forum.
COVID 19 (Corona Virus)
This is a worrying time for carers and disabled loved ones. We will endeavour to keep you up to date with advice.
If you are over 70 or have more serious health conditions you should have received notification from the Government to self- isolate for 12 weeks, this has now been extended for a longer period for the most vulnerable.
Some people on the list are now receiving text messages from the government to tell them they will no longer be on the list. To verify this call your GP or consultant for further advice.
Remember that as members of Dudley Carers Forum you can rely on us to get shopping and prescriptions for you. Not just essential items either.
Over the past few weeks we have dealt with enquiries about care homes, bereavement, shopping, collecting prescriptions, visiting garden centres for clients, and helping with missed bin collections, faulty smoke alarms, rodent problems and finding reliable contractors.
In view of Covid-19 Dudley Carers Forum meetings and activities are cancelled until further notice. But I hope that we can resume very soon.
In the meantime the office remains open all hours. Anything I can help with or you just need a chat give me a call.
We are run entirely by volunteers. Our office is in the home of Jane and Martin, if you can't find the information you require please drop us an email or call us. We will be happy to help.
